Yuh Gettin' Tru?
an AI-enhanced aggregate search across the major hardware stores in Barbados. Search over 100,000 products to find exactly what you need, whether it's a drill, paint roller or garden hose.
The name comes from the Bajan phrase "Yuh gettin' tru?" meaning "Are you managing?" or "Are you getting through (your task)?" - because finding hardware supplies in Barbados used to be a mission.

Yuh Hear Dem
an AI guide to Barbadian Parliament that helps citizens understand what's really being said in political debates and decisions. Making democracy more accessible, one question at a time.
The name comes from the Bajan phrase "Yuh hear dem?" meaning "Did you hear what they said?" - because parliamentary debates can be hard to follow and understand.

- Gemini 2.5 Flash - powers the conversational AI and summarization
- MongoDB Atlas Vector Search - semantic search across parliamentary transcripts

- Google Cloud Run - serverless deployment
- Whisper - audio transcription of parliamentary sessions
Working Prototypes, Enhanced Versions Coming
Both projects above are working prototypes that are live and serving real users in Barbados today. They demonstrate the core functionality and prove the concept works.
I'm currently developing enhanced versions of both applications that will use Google Gemini even more extensively:
- Deeper Gemini integration for more sophisticated natural language understanding
- Multi-modal capabilities to handle images and voice queries
- Improved conversational flows powered by Gemini's latest models
- Enhanced summarization and analysis features
The current prototypes are just the beginning. The next versions will push Gemini's capabilities much further.
